Maiden Voyage Theme

This is my first attempt at creating a Wordpress theme from scratch (with the help of the WP Codex and the many tutorials that are out there). And so it is called, appropriately enough…Maiden Voyage.

It’s a simple 2 column affair with cheerful Springtime colors and is valid XHTML 1.0 and CSS 2.1. It’s widget ready with support for Gravatars and Related Posts built in. It also has customized Archives, Sitemap and Author pages. Tested in Firefox, Opera, Safari, IE6 and IE7.

Now on to finish my next one! :D

    Hi there!
I just installed your theme on a friends website. Looks great! However they’ve got swedish language installed and for some reason some text from the language file is showing on the site at the bottom of posts, like so -

after further digging I found removing from the section in comments.php fixed the problem. I’m fairly knew to PHP and Wordpress, but removing it hasn’t seemed to have broken anything :)

    sigh, code not embedding properly.

remove php _e(”); from comments.php to fix the bug

    David,

I just got home from work and saw your comments. It seems like you’ve found the problem but I’m going to look into it anyway to hopefully avoid this in the future.

After really looking at the error message you posted, it seems to be something with the translation program used. That’s something I know absolutely nothing about I’m sorry to say.
