Getting rid of comments apps on all pages?

Hello again Mina,
Thanks so much for the Daily Minefield website. Eventually, I will get it wired. I want disable all the comment coding etc.. on my entire website. In otherwords, I am not allowing any comments at all on this webpage aside from the contact form. I started to delete first on the comment section... Now all pages have a the footer heading... parse error syntax error T-ENDIF. I'm pretty sure I need to get rid of all comment codes everywhere, but I don't want to make it more of a mess than it has become. Thanks again for your help. Sincerely, Diana

I had done a little server housecleaning a while back and accidentally deleted the old forums database...not a very smart thing to do. I thought I had removed all the links to it but I guess I missed this one. Thanks for bringing it to my attention, I've deleted the post.

Okay now, the first thing you'll need to do is to upload a new copy of the page.php template to get rid of that error (also any others where you tried to remove the comments code).

Then go into Admin >> Appearances >> Editor >> page.php (your new copy) and find then delete just this section (3 lines):

<?php comments_template(); ?>
</div>

You'll also need to do this to archive.php and no_sidebar.php.

Then in single.php find and remove this single line:

<?php comments_template(); ?>
